Tour Schedule Winter/Spring/Summer

Once again, my apologies for not posting sooner. I’ve been in rehearsal for my new solo show that opens in Manchester UK in mid-May, and I’ve been getting all my ducks in a row for my upcoming HEAVY tour schedule this season. I’m posting the schedule here, and I really do enjoy meeting people from online, so if you’re in any of the following towns, please stop by and say hey.

My Cool Tour Schedule — See You There?

February 1-3 at Knox College, Galesburg, IL. Kate will keynote a gender conference and conduct several workshops.

February 13, New York University, New York City. Kate will speak at NYU’s Trans Awareness Week, 6PM at the Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, Room 905. "Dangerous Dreams and Damned Desires." February 19-20: Wells College, Aurora, NY. Kate will speak/perform "America’s Bully Culture and How It Messes With Your Sex Life."

March 1-2, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA. Kate will speak on "Dangerous Dreams and Damned Desires," at 907 Floyd Ave.,  the VCU Student Commons, Richmond Salons Thursday evening at 7 pm.  She’ll also give a Friday evening workshop at the Richmond Organization for Sexual Minority Youth, a local queer youth group. March 7-8, Kutzown University, Kutztown, PA. Kate will give an evening addrress, and speak in several classes.

March 13-14, University of Southern Maine, Portland, ME. Kate will speak on "Dangerous Dreams and Damned Desires," and conduct a workshop with local LGBTQ youth.

March 19, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA.
5-6pm – Harvard College Women’s Center, Canaday B Basement (in Harvard Yard) – Reception with Kate, T and Felicia. 7-9pm – Thompson Room, Barker Center, 12 Quincy St. – Kate will speak on a panel with T Cooper and Felicia Luna Lemus. Kate will attend and keynote ("Dangerous Dreams and Damned Desires: The Personal Politics of Sex and Gender.") at the annual National GLBTQ Studies Conference. April 4-5, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, 7pm, Reitz Union Rion Ballroom. April 6-8, Dark Odyssey: Spring Fire, Kate will conduct workshops on Survival Tips for 21st Century Sex and Gender Outlaws, and Introduction to Gender Play. She’ll also read from her new solo show, "Kate Bornstein Is a Queer and Pleasant Danger."

April 10th-11th, College of Charleston, Charleston SC. Kate will perform, "On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us," and speak in several classes.

April 12,13, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. Details TBA.

April 14, Austin, Texas, UT Austin, Kate will keynote Queer Texas, a statewide conference for queer and progressive student and youth organizations.

April 16, New York City, NY. Kate Bornstein accepts the Passion Fruit Award from the Fresh Fruit Festival for contributions to Queer Theater.

April 20, University of California San Diego, San Diego, CA. Kate will deliver the Nicholas Papadopoulos Endowed Lecture in LGBT Studies for 2007. The event will begin with a reception at 4 pm, followed by Kate’s presentation at 5 pm. The location is the Eucalyptus Point Conference Center, UCSD campus, La Jolla.

April 21, California State University, Fullerton. May 10-20 (dates approximate) It’s Queer Up North, Manchester UK. Kate will perform the world premiere of her new solo show, "Kate Bornstein Is A Queer And Pleasant Danger."

May 24-27 (dates approximate) Netherlands Transgender Filmfestival, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Kate will perform "Kate Bornstein Is A Queer And Pleasant Danger."

June 6-10, National Queer Arts Festival, San Francisco, CA, Kate will perform "Kate Bornstein Is A Queer And Pleasant Danger."

June 15-17, Transfabulous, London, UK. Kate will attend and keynote  the Transfabulous festival and conference. She will also perform "On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us," and conduct the workshop, "Survival Tips for 21st Century Sex and Gender Outlaws."

July 5-8, George Washington University, Washington, DC. Kate will attend and participate in the Gender Queer Identity Conference and she will perform "Kate Bornstein Is A Queer And Pleasant Danger."

July 17-22 (dates approximate), Trondheim, Norway. Kate will speak and conduct workshops at Jafnaðr, the annual Nordic Queer Youth Festival.
